  Welcome to Friday, the last day of public school — and for many of you, work, public and private — for 2011. The holiday season is in full swing and I hope you all have a wonderful one. Early risers yesterday were greeted with the final slivers of the Dec. 10 full moon lighting up the East sky. New moon rising Christmas Eve. Many, many thanks to Alice and Bill Lehmann for the scrumptious — and I do mean scrumptious — chocolate croissant, hot and fresh from La Provence. Music on tap; remembering a fine Concordian

  Good morning and welcome to Friday. Happy Birthday to my good friend Gari Palmer. Hope you and your family have a wonderful day today. You’re such a warm-hearted person, you deserve gobs of good things. For the rest of us, there is lots of great live music on tap this weekend. Here is the lineup from the Colonial Inn, which by the way, is beautifully decorated for Christmas, so stop by and check out the festive decor. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m., in the Village Forge Tavern. Sunday entertainment begins at 7 p.m. There is no cover charge.
