Some MCAS Testing Delayed in Concord

Inclement weather has caused delays in testing.

MCAS English Language Arts tests, originally scheduled to be held tomorrow, March 19, have been postponed to Monday, March 25.  The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education made the announcement today, March 18, due to pending inclement weather. Kathy Codianne, the director of teaching and learning in Concord, confirmed the report. "We realize that this change may be disruptive for some schools, but for security reasons it is critical that all schools administer the ELA Composition on the same day," the DESE wrote on its website. "Even schools that are unaffected by the storm must wait until Monday, March 25, to administer the test."
