REPORTS: Concord Woman Facing OUI Charges After Hitting Police Cruiser

A Boxborough Police officer reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident, which occurred Friday, Feb. 1.

A Concord woman is reportedly facing charges of operating under the influence of liquor after she allegedly crashed into a Boxborough Police cruiser that was attempting to stop another vehicle Friday night. According to reports by Fox25 and Boston.com, the accident occurred around 11:45 p.m. near Exit 28 on I-495 north. BPD Officer Edward Pokornicki was reportedly attempting to stop a car when a Toyota Corolla driven by Mary Hayes, 52, of Concord, struck the back of his cruiser. The officer swerved to avoid crashing into the car he had pulled over and was forced to leave the roadway, his cruiser “settling against a large berm and some small trees on the median,” the Globe reported. Police Log: Alleged OUI on Lowell Road

The following incident was documented in the Concord Police logs. Carlisle Man Arrested for OUI on Lowell Road  A Carlisle man was arrested Sunday, June 26, for allegedly driving drunk on Lowell Road. Edward Byers, 62, of Rutland Road, was pulled over by Concord Police at about 6 p.m. after a report that he was drinking out of a brown paper bag and driving erratically in a Lexus SUV while leaving Monument Square on Lowell Road. The caller told police that Byers was consistently driving on the wrong side of the road. Byers is being charged with operating under the influence second offense, resisting arrest and a marked lanes violation.

Concord Woman Faces OUI Charge in Sudbury

A Peter Spring Road woman was arrested early Sunday morning by Sudbury Police.

A motor vehicle stop early Sunday morning by the Sudbury Police Department turned in an arrest of a Concord woman. At about 1:04 a.m., Silvia Fernandez Osuna, 27, of 22 Peter Spring Road, was pulled over on Concord Road. After the responding officer completed an investigation, Osuna was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation. Osuna was released at 9:42 a.m. and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on Monday. No other information was available.

Police Log: Noise Complaints and an OUI

The following incidents were documented in the Concord Police logs. Noisy Leafblowers A caller told police at 6:07 a.m. on June 15 that a grounds crew at Concord-Carlisle High School was using leaf blowers and causing a disturbance. Police checked the area, but found no disturbance. Officers left a message with the high school to inform them of the complaint. Driving Without a License Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop near Chang An Restaurant at 10:48 a.m. on June 15. The driver, a 53-year-old Maynard man, was issued a summons for operating without a license, as well as failing to follow signs/signals.
