Coastal Dog Apparel: Chafing your troubles away, and donating the proceeds to charity.

Stephanie Magee, like millions of mothers before her, was stumped. Her son was uncomfortable in his swimsuit, at age 8, and was old enough to let her know it. "Every year, every vacation, every summer it would come up," said Magee. "It didn't matter if it was the beach or the pool, he was chafing and it was a problem for all of us." And like millions of mothers, Magee tried every quick fix she could dream up: Various styles of suits, snipping out the lining, underwear under the bathing suit; you name it, she tried it. In this quick video, we show you how to claim listings in Patch Places to better promote your business through Concord Patch.

When Concord Patch launched, editors and freelancers ventured to local businesses to collect information for our directory. Now, Patch Places is a spot where users can find descriptions, hours, accepted payment methods and much more for spots around town. All users can add events taking place at local spots, can rate the business on a scale of one to five stars, and can add a review. But owners of local businesses get extra bonuses when they claim a listing. Owners or managers should search for their business listing and select "claim you listing" in order to make updates to the page. A form will pop up asking for your name, contact information, and proof of ownership. Within a few days, someone from Patch should contact you to verify your…

ICYMI: West Concord Treasures on Chronicle

West Concord got a little love from Chronicle earlier this week, and featured businesses include Slow Pokes, Merlin’s Silver Star Studio, Hammersmith Studios and 1-on-1 Self Indulgence.

The first stop was SlowPokes, where Chronicle pointed out how zoning restrictions prevent the biz from advertising, so word of the bodacious barbeque must pass word-of-mouth. And Hilary Taylor of Merlin’s Silver Star Studio shared her story, before Chronicle made its way to Hammersmith Studios and then on to 1 on 1 Self Indulgence. In case you missed it, check out WCVB's Chronicle segment here.
