A rundown of what people in the area watched the most this past week.

  If you’re planning a romantic night at home on Valentine’s Day, you might want to consider picking up a romantic movie at a nearby Redbox location. “According to a recent survey conducted by Redbox, 73% of Americans consider movie night at home a date, and 61% of Americans plan to watch a movie at home to celebrate Valentine’s Day,” said Redbox representative Amanda Coyne. There are plenty of places to celebrate the romantic holiday in 2012, but we want to know your favorite.

In just a few days, couples from Concord and elsewhere will have the chance to celebrate that little annual holiday geared for romantics - Valentine's Day.  While some may look to use the day to their advantage by using their creative talents when giving a gift, others may look at the day as a perfect chance to get out for a night and enjoy a romantic dinner in town.  But where should you go? Valentine's Day with the Kids

Valentine’s Day can be more than just a day about Hallmark cards and chocolates.

I started talking about Valentine’s Day with some friends recently and the looks I got could have wilted a rose. Turned up noses, snarky comments about husbands dropping the ball and a few shrugged shoulders were about all I got. I realize that we have all been bombarded with Hallmark and Ferrero Rocher chocolate commercials the past few weeks, but I am determined to turn this holiday from superficial to super fabulous, at least at my house.  For starters I thought of my official answer for “Mom, what is Valentine’s Day anyway?” My answer, drum roll please, “It’s a day to celebrate Love (yes, Love with a capital L).” It doesn’t have to be a day filled with commercial influences but a day when we go the extra mile to remind those we love …

The Best Love Song Ever Is...

Valentine's Day is approaching, and we're compiling a list of love songs.

It's Valentine's Day, and love is in the air... on the radio, in the coffee shops and maybe on your iPod. You know there's that one song that melts your heart every time you hear it. For me, it's "Over the Rainbow," sung by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. I don't know what it is, but that song makes stop in my tracks whenever those first notes are played.
