With the recent launch of the White House's new "We the People" initiative, anyone 13-years-old or older now has the ability to draft a petition calling on the Obama Administration to take action on a specific issue. Any petition that generates 25,000 online signatures in 30 days will be reviewed by the Administration, have an official response issued, and will be forwarded to the appropriate policy making body for potential further action. The possibilities of what may be submitted are endless, and anything with the appropriate number of signatures is guaranteed to at least be read by a real person in the White House.
