Chorus struck right chord with Milldam merchants
The Holiday Stroll sponsored by the Concord Chamber of Commerce fell on a cold night, but each shop along Main and Walden streets seem to emanate warmth and joy. Musical groups including the Sounds of Concord and the Tom Ruggles Quartet serenaded shoppers as they went from store to store. The large group crammed into aisles and corners as they rocked the Milldam with carols. The stroll has been held in the past on the same night as the tree lighting, but this year the two events were separated by a few days and in some cases, the store owners felt it should go back to being on the same night. But revelry abounded as each shop had trays of cookies, cheese, cupcakes, wine and cider for the local crowd.
