CCM Faculty Concert, Pianist Yelena Beriyeva

The Concord Conservatory of Music presents Yelena Beriyeva, who
will perform a solo concert on Friday, November 8th at 7:00 pm. Ms.
Beriyeva is a member of the CCM piano faculty. Her performance will include
Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 18, which has been nicknamed ‘The Hunt’ for its
jaunty rhythms, and Brahms’ Six Pieces for Piano, Op. 118, one of this Romantic
Period composer’s later works. Ms. Beriyeva will also perform compositions by
Chopin and Scarlatti.

Ms. Beriyeva has been called “the paragon of the concert pianist”
by the L. A. Examiner. Yelena Beriyeva grew up in the Republic of Georgia,
where she began performing at the young age of five. Since then she has
performed in venues all over the world, including Russia, Venezuela, Canada,
and the United States, and she is known for her impeccable technique as well as
her expressivity.

The November 8th concert is free and open to the
public. The Concord Conservatory of Music is located at 1317 Main Street,
Concord, in the West Concord Union Church. For more information about the CCM
