Police Log: Alleged Assault at Helen's, An Arrest Leads to Murder Charge

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, June 26

9:34 a.m. – A call came in reporting the green arrow indicator at Baker Avenue and Route 2 was not cycling properly.

9:41 a.m. – A woman reported possible suspicious activity the previous night in which her vehicle was scratched while parked behind a Throeau Street business. The woman thought perhaps someone was attempting to gain entry to her vehicle.

10:22 a.m. – A Comm Ave business owner reported a man was in her store the previous day, crying and angry over the upcoming eviction of his business.  The woman told police she was unsure when the eviction was to take place.

10:28 a.m. – Police responded to Forest Ridge Road for a report of damage to grass near leaching fields in the River Bend condominium complex.

12:24 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of the Town House at Monument Square, a Lynn man was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to yield.

1:44 p.m. – A Baldwinville woman reported her vehicle was keyed while parked at an office building on Baker Avenue Extension.

2:17 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the Keyes Road municipal lot, an Acton man was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and making prohibited U-turns.

3:56 p.m. – Police responded to Emerson Hospital’s administrative offices on Baker Avenue for a report of $100 cash stolen from an office there.

4:36 p.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a woman assaulted a waitress and was causing a disturbance. The woman reportedly grabbed a waitress by the arm and caused a disturbance before leaving the scene in a blue Toyota Camry headed outbound on Lexington Road. Lincoln Police stopped the vehicle on Route 2A and, as a result, a woman from Oakland, California, has received a summons for simple assault and battery.

7:33 p.m. – A Kenney Lane resident reported receiving a suspicious phone call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft who asked the resident to turn on his computer and swore at him before hanging up when told there was nothing wrong with the computer. According to the incident report, a town employee received a similar call on the same date.

8:14 p.m. – At the request of a Boston Police detective, Concord officers responded to Emerson Hospital to track down a suspect wanted in connection with a crime in the city. CPD arrested Martin Jiminez, 43, of 752 E 4thh St., Apt. BSMT, Boston, on a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender. According to a press release from the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office, after being turned over to Boston, Jiminez was charged in the death of a woman found in the bedroom of his South Boston home.
